5 go mad in Hertfordshire

Firstly, I apologize for the lack of photos from the last part of the day as I accidentally deleted them during upload. Kean and his gang of merry men arrived as arranged and we proceeded with the skills check and set up changes and they could already feel positive changes to their riding. We moved to the drops and applied both mental and physical skills and they began riding using their renewed looking and body positioning skills.
All 3 drops were ridden by them and soon we moved on. The skills trail was next, and I broke the trail down and demonstrated each section and over the next hour or so, they were riding the whole trail end to end , faster and more controlled than ever before. Flat, bermed, off camber and switchback turns were linked to pumping, jumps, drops, rock gardens and steps.
Next we worked on riding steeper terrain and also a near vertical drop off, the old weight way back of old was replaced by their new skills and it all became easier and far more controlled. The looks on their faces as they rode down a 40ft drop off with control was a sight to see.
I moved them to the 6ft tabletop to work on jumping as they'd never cleared a jump before but in a few moves and tweaks from myself, one by ne they sailed over the tabletop and landed perfectly, some used their mental skills to decide to ride the 6ft gap jump a few times too!
we then moved to our final trail of the day to work on linking the techniques covered on the session together and why and when is best to choose which on the pump and jump trail and they linked the 2 berms in nicely too. John rounded off the session by riding the ladder gap jump at the end too!
Amazing session to end an awesome week of coaching.
