From snow to sunshine

Paul, Dave and Tom were originally booked in in January but the snow stopped that session and today was the rearranged date. I discovered footwork, looking and body positioning faults.
We began with the drop technique and applied both mental and physical skills and in time all 3 of them rode all 3 drops and were smiling as they did.
We moved onto the skills trail and spent a while isolating parts of the trail before linking them all together.
Flat, bermed, off camber and switchback turns were linked to rock gardens, absorbing, pumping, steps and drops and soon they were linking the 14 sections together faster and more controlled than ever.
Next we worked on riding steeper terrain and their new skills shone through as they all rode a near vertical drop off and were surprised at how simple it actually was.
From there we moved to the 6ft tabletop and gap jump and used their mental skills to decide whether to ride the gap or not . In a few small steps they were sailing over the tabletop and both Paul and Dave rode the gap jump side after saying yes to their mental skills questions .
Onto carrying speed through berms and linking them together and using the pump and jump trail we worked on pumping , jumping and manualing sections of the trail and linking the berms in too!
I knew they were tiring but as they were going to Llandegla this weekend I showed them why their skills applied to riding woodwork and how to correct any errors without jumping off.
Over 5 hours after we began our session ended as mentally I knew they had no more.
Awesome session.
