We then worked on
some braking technique and basic cornering to link drops into corners and afterwards,
moved onto the 6ft tabletop and gap jump to work on the technique of jumping. A
break for drinks and lunch and we resumed on another trail and I worked on
pumping to jump a 9ft tabletop and then we began working on judging speed and
distance of jumps. Things were going very well indeed and some riders in the
group had mentioned they ride trail centres with woodwork so I worked on their
control in riding ladders and drops off of them.
I worked on the
mental skills set in the session and for the final application of the skills
sets, I used a 9ft gap jump and those who could apply their mental skills to
say yes, all rode the gap jump a good few times each.
Our session ended
there and then as they were all tired in the heat and the mental aspect of the
session drained them. We celebrated the session over a pint in a local beer
garden.
Great session, high5!
Excellent day and well worth every penny. Wish i had the balls to do the drop at the end, but i was tired and already suffered oner injury ;)
