Andrew booked the session a few months ago and Jo decided to join him. Both ride with
nirvanacycles.com and were advised to come to me for a session. The skills check showed me thta i had to work on body position, looking and footwork and also their mental skills.
We began with the drop technique and their new body position enabled them to style it in the air which blew them away at how easy it was.
We moved onto the skills trail and began working on the 14 sections on the trail and linking them together by braking and line choice and over a couple of hours they really got to grips with it and any errors were self diagnosed. From there, we moved onto riding steeps and their new body positions really gave them a control they hadn't previously had and I showed them why their new skills sets enabled them to drop into steep stuff in various techniques.
Alpine switchbacks and higher, more technical drops were on the list too and they both ate them up also. I worked on linking steeps, corners and fade away jumps and how to move the bike in the air to line up to the trail and they were now flying. Before our session ended, I worked on manuals over tabletops and doubles and they were shocked at how quickly it all seemed to come together, ^hrs in and our session came to a close to smiles all round and lemon cake.
High5!
