Stephen's 1 to 1 session
Stephen contacted me wanting to get better at drops and jumps. On putting him through the skills check I discovered he missed body position and looking skills and after correcting these we moved on.
First up was the drop technique and here we applied the skill set and Stephen was shocked at how easy this was, and he used his new mental skills as he rode all 3 drops easily and confidently.
WE then moved onto the trail and worked on the 14 sections contained within it.
Jumps, drops, steps, rocks, pumping and flat, off camber, bermed and switchback corners.
We worked down along the trail linking each section to the next and then rode the entire trail quite a few times end to end and the flow was clear to see as Stephen used the trails energy as much a she could and really flew along the single track trail.
Lastly we worked on the tabletop and in a very short time he was sailing over the 6ft tabletop and even rode the gap side of it a good few times.
Our session ended naturally and I demonstrated the skill set to him in the context of the raised single track at herts trail and he could see the same skills in effect.
Great session!
