Adam and Deans's 2 to 1 session

Dean and Adam turned up as arranged and over a coffee we chatted of their future alps trip and of their expectations for the session.
The skills check revealed body and looking faults in both areas and I made some set up changes to assist my corrections. After a short time we moved onto the drop sections!

It took them no time at all to ride all 3 drops with ease and they both said how easy it now felt after years of trying to copy magazine advice!
We moved onto the skills trail and its 14 sections. Methodically, we moved down the trail working on it in segments before finally linking all 14 sections together. Pumping, rock gardens, steps , fly outs and drops were linked to flat, bermed, off camber and switchback turns. I worked on linking drops into corners and soon they were riding the entire trail end to end and being fast, not feeling fast!
Adam had never got air before and when we moved onto the 6ft tabletop and gap jump he looked pensive to say the least but that soon disappeared as both he and Dean sailed over it and dean even rode the gap jump a  few times too!
For our final task, I moved them onto riding steeps and used 3 different one and showed 2 different ways of dropping in to them. After demonstrating as always they lads then rode them all easily and smiling as they did. any mistakes were self recognized too. Our session ended there as mental fatigue appeared and we retired to the pub for a pint to celebrate the session.
 High5!
